聖靈的水

2009年7月我到渥太華參加萬國守望者十週年的慶典，順道去多倫多看望兒子，他帶我到尼加拉瓜瀑布參觀。那天，在我眼前出現雙彩虹,還有鷹在飛，立時，我想起神對加拿大的命定:在他的日子, 義人要發旺, 大有平安, 好像月亮長存. 衪要執掌權柄,從這海直到那海, 從大河直到地極.詩篇72:7-8
似乎,神再次以彩虹為約證明衪對加拿大的應許不改變.
當為“華人同心同行”聚會禱告時領受到以西結書47:9”這河水所到之處，凡滋生的動物都必生活，並且因這流來的水必有極多的魚，海水也變甜了。這河水所到之處，百物都必生活。”還有, 啟示錄22:2”在河這邊與那邊有生命樹，結十二樣果子（注：“樣”或作“回”），每月都結果子，樹上的葉子乃為醫治萬民。”於是,我以這些經文為題材創作這幅“聖靈的水”。

I went to Ottawa in July 2009 to attend the 10th anniversary celebration of “Watchmen for the Nations.” Following the Gathering, I visited my son in Toronto, and he took me to Niagara Falls.
While touring the fall, I saw eagles flying around a double-rainbow above the fall and I was instantly reminded of God’s word for Canada in Psalms 72:7-8 – “In his days the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more. He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.”
I felt like it was God using the rainbows to reaffirm that His promises for Canada will never fail, that He would bless those who gathered in the Watchmen Gathering to experience what He had expressed in Ezekiel 47:9 – “Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.” As well, I was reminded of Revelation 22:2 – “On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”
With these scriptures in mind, I painted this work and named it “The Living Water.”
